Holly Golightly is a singer songwriter from the southeast corner of England who, over the last 6 years, has emerged from the shadows of Thee Headcoatees to record a steady flow of fine garage-blues records. For most of this time, she lived in a houseboat moored on the Medway river in Kent but celebrated the new year by getting married and moving to San Francisco. Holly is using her new home as a base to carry on gigging across America where she is currently playing in bars from California to Louisiana.

"The Main Attraction" was Holly's second solo album and was released in 1995 on the German label Teenage Kicks. It boasts twelve slowly creeping, highly erotic killer tunes influenced by Begger's Banquet era Rolling Stones with raspy slide guitars galore. The first tinges of her relaxed country/blues are in evidence, as is her distinctive snarling songwriting.

Unfortunately, as was the nature of all Teenage Kicks releases, the record was very limited with only 400 10" vinyl LPs and 600 CD versions being pressed. Obviously, these didn't stay in the shops for long, and thus the record has been unavailable for the last four years. Over this time, Holly's profile has steadily risen as more people have got to hear her subsequent records or seen her on one of her numerous tours of the United States. Damaged Goods Records is a London based label which is already home to many Holly Golightly recordings. They recently bought the rights to "The Main Attraction", lovingly re-created the sepia effect artwork and will re-release the album on a 12" vinyl LP and CD for all to enjoy.
