Vinyl Japan are proud to present THE DELMONAS' first album Dangerous Charms, originally released by Ace records back in 1985. Can it be 15 years already? It seems like only yesterday that we were grinding along to this pulchritudinous threesome's outpourings of Medway nectar.

THE DELMONAS were Sarah (later to become Ludella Black, also Mickey Hampshire of Milkshakes fame other 'arf, and Headcoatees extraordinaire), Louise (then Mrs Bruce Brand of Milkshake an dHeadcoats fame) and Hilary (Ida Red the then Mrs Russ Wilkins of the Milkshakes and Wildebeests fame). With backing from the aforementioned Mickey, Bruce and Russ, and not forgetting the inimitable Billy Childish, the pedigree is impeccable.

A mix of covers as eclectic as 'Hello I Love You' and 'Twist and Shout' and classic Childish/Hampshire compositions, all tracks are given the bitter sweet girl garage punk treatment, underpinned by the primitive blitzkrieg of the Milkshakes. Originally including a 1985 BBC session, the new CD version includes additional tracks, taken from their 1988 BBC session - at this time streamlines to Ludella and Ida, with Billy, Russ and Milkshake John Agnew.

The re release of this album has been long awaited. If the original is already nestling in your collection, you will not be able to rest without the additional tracks on the CD. Or if there is a great gaping hole in your shelf under 'D', then what are you waiting for...?!
